404 for perch_blog in Runway

I followed the steps as per the first few paragraphs on this page: https://docs.grabaperch.com/addons/blog/installation/

Sadly though, after creating a post, and clicking the view post link, I receive the 404 page. I imagine that there is a step I have missed, or done wrong, but cannot see it. The basic steps I did were:

  1. Add the blog to the correct addons folder and enabled it (this is working, as can create new posts)
  2. Copied the blog folder (from root of the zip) into perch/templates/pages
  3. Create content
  4. Preview (this fails)

Any advice on this would be great, as I thought the documentation would have got me to a working version quickly.

Did you follow the Runway configuration information?

https://docs.grabaperch.com/addons/blog/runway-config/

I think that maybe I have gotten confused by the documentation when it gets to routes. I have the module setup, and created a new post (getting the 404). I then have gone and created a page (of type post) at blog/post, adding the route from that link to that page.

I then went back to the blog post, modified the url in my browser to match the expected result, and still receive a 404 message.

I have found the problem, it was my understanding of where the pattern and custom token should go. I have now put the custom token in the runway-php file, and used the pattern in the blog/post page I mentioned before, now all is loading nicely
