Hide Default index.php Using pagelist Tag

Hi

I'm using the pagelist tag addon and have replace=".php|" to remove the file extension from the URL, I've also added hide-default-doc="true" so that /about/index becomes just /about/ but this doesn't seem to work.

Is there a way to hide the index.php from the pagelist tag at all like you can on the perch_pages_navigation function?
