Adding Shop to Existing Site with Members

Drew, this is really just a question about adding shop to a site that already has 85 members. Is there any know issues with getting the shipping stuff hooked into the existing members? And moving forward, should I continue registering new members through members or shop?

I really have not spent enough time on shop to anticipate what is involved with adding it to existing member controlled site.
