Section (blog) section dropdown

My question is answered here: https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/02-29-2016-making-social-meta-info-easier-to-update-for-blog-posts but I'll ask incase anything has changed.

The sections select drop down is now hidden within the Meta & Social tab. I guess there's still no way to move it out back into the main post area? In my sites setup (appreciate it will be different for everyone) it's as important that's selected correctly as the Post Type, which you get a great prompt for at the start of the post creation process. Hidden in the section tab which doesn't appear until it's saved I can see it getting forgotten about and left at the default. Resulting in posts ending up in the wrong place.
