Events App update

Is there any news on a update on the events app?

I really need to be able to add start finish dates... I have suggested it and it seemed to get a lot of support for adding this feature.

It's planned but not on the immediate horizon.

Any news? I have 4 clients waiting for the update and I've had to do 2 sites in WP, and I hate WP. I'm quoting on a site at the moment and that too needs the update, and I really really would prefer not to use Perch.

We really want it too! Events is important and we know a lot of people are waiting for it. Even more people were waiting for an ecommerce solution, so Shop got the priority. Events is still queued up.
