Perch login path / Mamp server

Hi. It's been a while since I first set up mamp but this time have set it up to use the Sites folder. My web sites are now in their own folders within Sites folder and it seems to be working fine. Except... my login path in the perch config file is 'licorice/perch' rather than just 'perch' so my resources are going to 'licorice/perch/resources' in my database. If I am correct this is going to cause problems when I upload my database to the production server as the licorice folder will not exist. So I think what I'm asking is.. Is there a way to change this path without it breaking? and or is there a better way to set up mamp or my development root folder for perch? Thanks

You're better to set up a new virtual host for each site. That way the paths will match from development to staging to live.

Ok I'd better get the MAMP Pro version then. thanks

Yes, thoroughly recommended.
