Change Font Colour

Have upgraded to V2 but now cannot see how to change a font colour

Perch: 2.8.8, PHP: 5.4.42, MySQL: 5.0.91, with PDO

Where are you trying to change a font colour? I don't think there's anywhere in Perch where that happens.

Typography is usually controlled via your site's CSS.

Well that is very odd - the text editor in Perch 1 used to include font colour change.

We have discovered for ourselves that for some reason Perch 2 has chosen not to include the text color button by default. It appears to be the only feature that is missing. Perch comes with two different prepackaged third-party text editors. We're using CK Editor which is the more advanced of the two which used to allow you to change the colour of the text. We have now installed font colour and size button on our Perch websites.

Ah, ok, yes CKEditor will allow you to do things like that. I don't think that the basic version of CKEditor includes it any more as generally it's better to leave the design to the designer rather than a content producer.
