Ordering repeater content

Is it possible to sort repeaters on a particular ID in the repeater, like it is with perch_content_custom? Also, to have new repeater items added to the top of the list, rather than the bottom. If not, it's far from a biggie, just something that would be nice to have in the toolkit :)
