Auto-response Template

Is it possible to use the 'Response introduction text' in an email template?

Use case: If I choose plain text then I get all the details that the user has submitted as well, which I don't want in the auto-response.

Yes, it should be responseEmailMessage.

As in:

<perch:email id="responseEmailMessage" encode="false" />

Does that not work?

No, the email doesn't even come through.

Does the id exceeding 16 characters make a difference?

No, there's not a 16 character limit on IDs.

Did the email come through before you made the change?

Yes the email comes though fine without it, either with plain text or an html template.

Adding that one line to the template prevents it being received?

Could the content of that field look spammy?

If I put that one line in, with nothing else in the template it prevents the email from being received.

No, I used the same content directly in the template and it comes straight through.

Ok, I'll have to see if I can reproduce it.
