Questions about news pages from master pages

Is it possible to specify the default parent page and master page when creating a new page.

I have a site with one master page where 95% of new pages will be added under the same parent page. So I was wondering if there was a way specify these as defaults (instead of page already exists for master page).

One way of the default parent would be to tell the client to use the add new subpage instead of the general add new page.

If not is there a way to add help text when creating a new page, so I can leave help text reminding her which master page to use?

You can do this in Runway - you can specify which master pages the subpages can use from the Page Options tab.

Thanks Drew,

it’s for a small existing table based site with Perch retrofitted so the client can easily update photos without dreamweaver. She won’t be adding new pages too often so probably not worth using Runway just for the ability to set the master page.
