User Roles - all permissions cleared and won't save!
A client contacted me to say they can't log in all of a sudden to their v 2.2 installation of Perch. After a bit of faffing I realised it is because the permissions of all roles except for the super admin have been cleared so they can't even log in. I tried to check the relevant boxes again and it looks like it has saved but when I leave the page and go back again all the boxes are cleared again! What's going on? It's been working fine for a couple of years now.
We can't offer support for such an old version of Perch. Something may have changed in the hosting environment as code doesn't just stop working. Something has changed.
Our suggestion would be to update Perch and see if you still have the issue.
It is quite a lareg update - is it still just a matter of replacing the core files? It is only a very small cms anyway for one page of a site
Mainly the
corefolder, but you'll also need to update themarkitupeditor. Instructions are on https://grabaperch.com/update
