Content Changes Not Appearing When Saved

One of our sites was hacked. We removed all the malware and updated the Perch files in case the hacker changed anything. Perch is able to obtain and display our content from our database on our website, but if I try to make a content update, I receive a "Content successfully updated" message, but the new content doesn't appear on the site.

How do I fix/troubleshoot this?

Can you edit existing content?

Can you change a file on disk - does the site update?

I can change content in the CMS, but the changes don't appear on the site once saved.

What do you mean by "change a file on the disk"?

I mean can you confirm that your site is pointing to where you think it is. If you add a file called test.txt to your site, can you then view it in a browser?

Yes, I've confirmed that it is pointing to the correct location and I can upload and make manual HTML changes to files.

Ok, great.

Are you getting any errors in your server error log?

The error_log doesn't show anything.

If you turn on debug for your page, do you get any output? What does it say?

Strange, but it appears that the database is responding now. We're moving hosting companies! Thanks for your help.
