update perch version from 2.3.1 to latest - advice?

I have discovered a client still running 2.3.1 - oops!
Can I go straight to the latest version? - I realise there were significant changes made at 2.4 so any advice on best update path would be much appreciated, thanks.
Apps installed are blog and gallery only, plus ckeditor
I would suggest reading back through the update notes on the site. There will certainly be changes to make to blog templates.
If you do it on a dev version first you can then sort out any issues.
Thanks, thinking I should maybe go to 2.5 as an interim step then to latest... where can I get hold of a copy of V2.5?
I don't think that would help at all.
