Regions within a region?!

Hi,

Is it possible to create regions within a region?!

Basically the user wants to be able to create regions dynamically themselves.

So 1 region would be created on a page and then in admin they could select to create a piece of content within that region. There would be a select box with a list of content type options like: Image gallery, Video, Text

they would select the type of content and then the appropriate fields would show...
