Composite field-type "bug"?
I'm using a composite field (combining lastname, firstname) - this works well. However, after adding the field-type to my template, I get a blank row appearing in the edit form in the admin area. This can be "hidden" by moving the composite field to the bottom of the template.
However, I want to sort the items by my composite field - in order for the field to appear in the "Sort By" dropdown, it has to have a label attribute in the template - which means the edit form now shows a row with a label, but (obviously) no input box.
It looks a little weird...
Yes, that sounds weird. The best thing to do is hold on for Perch 3. We're probably not going to be going back to Perch 2 to address small interface bugs at this point.
Thanks Drew - I have no desperate need for it to be fixed in Perch 2, but if it can be double-checked in Perch 3 (making a wild assumption that the fieldtype code has been pushed from 2 -> 3) that would be wonderful.
Yes, we'll see if it can be addressed in 3, if it occurs there.
