List Boxes in Perch

Re: the following:

I'd like to know how to order the choices, since it seems they are not alphabetical.

Do they not appear in the order specified in the template?

Hi Drew,

No they don't, and I find the same situation occurring in relation to .html templates.

I believe it is to do with the programming of Perch and hope it can be addressed in an update at some stage.

Those are two very different things.

What does the tag look like in your template, and what order are the options output in?

I think it would be best to open a ticket and if need be, comment there.

I will place a link to this post if it would be of benefit to the forum.

Thank you once again.

Hi Garth

the forum is the place to continue the conversation. Please post your template as requested - thanks!

Yes but what about sensitive information?

I did raise a private ticket, but not even an autoresponder came thorough.

Can you not reproduce the issue with non-sensitive information?

If I re-type things or omit details, then yes.

Is there no way to submit a private message?

We don't need your data, just the template you are using in Perch. For any support request that relates to templates then we need to see the template, you should post that with the initial request so we can help quickly.

Hi,

The template has data unfortunately, which reflects the business of the website.

This data cannot be seen once HTML is generated and as such should be kept private.

If a basic example with dummy data does not reproduce the problem, then it must be specific to your data.

For example, if I use a tag like this:

<perch:content id="test" type="select" options="A,B,C,D" />

then the select box lists its options in this order:

A B C D
