dataselect - page must be saved twice
it seems that the dataselect element doesn't take too kindly to pulling information from elements on the same page.
I guess this is a programming thing to do with SQL/PHP.
Is there something that can be done to address this issue?
We need more information about what you are doing, including your code, to suggest anything.

I'm not after a suggestion, but rather a fix if possible from the CMS side if possible.

Dataselect is for selecting content from a different page/region, not the same one.
