Importing posts across servers
I am migrating a site from one host to another.
Should I use the wordpress importer, or am I better off just uploading the database data using phpMyAdmin?

Unless you are moving a WordPress site you would not use the WordPress importer.

Be sure that your new host passes the compatibility test.
