License details - Live domain

FYI... I just moved a site from stage to live and on logging into the CMS I got a warning re: licence not valid for this domain. So I checked domains... was all OK.

So I then removed the "https://www." and it now works.

Never had this before but it appears there should be no prefix to domain now. Suggest updating Licence page info on right where it shows example with "www".

Hi Stuart, we have never accepted an https:// prefix, and the instructions do not suggest that we do.

www will work if that is how you are logging into your site (at www.example.com NOT example.com).

https://www was previously working and still works on older versions. So was just "www"...

But "www" did NOT work just now - even if you login to site with that in browser, hence my post.

Why does it need to check www anyway? Should not matter if the domain matches licence.

Anyhow, we just use "mydomain.com" now and it's fine.

It depends what your server reports itself as. Perch just works with the environment it's given.

OK sure, but perhaps add instruction that people may need to just use "domain.com" instead of "www.domain.com".

I see this has now changed in new account admin - looks great BTW!
