Redactor 3 in Perch 3.1 experience with blank textfields ()

I upgraded a plain Perch site to 3.1 (not plane perch :) from 3.0.14 and everything went fine, but I'm seeing an issue with the new redactor...

After the upgrade, I then edited an existing form with existing data. The edit was to add editor="redactor" html="true" to an existing textarea field that had previously ddi not have an editor specified. The textarea field was in a perch:repeater tag so there were multiple repetitions of this field.

Saved the edits to the template. Made some edits to the template in Perch admin. Most of the newly redactorized textareas had no content in them. On resaving the template, all the empty ones now contained <p><br></p>.

Yikes. Would appreciate any troubleshooting help...
