Turning region on/off.

Is there a way I could add a region to a masterpage but be able to turn off on certain pages?

ie: I have an Advert banner on there top of all my "default" pages. But on the Meet the team page I want to turn this off.

I was hoping this could be done with Collections. Show/Hide in the page options.
