MySQL Upgrade from 5.5 to 5.6. Running Perch 2.8.26. Concerns?
Hello!
My web host just announced they will be upgrading from MySQL 5.5 to 5.6 on April 20th. Is there any reason I should be concerned for my client's version of Perch or Perch in general? I can find no information about a maximum version of MySQL for Perch, just a minimum.
My client is on a tight upgrade schedule for budget reasons, and bringing Perch up-to-date to the current version wasn't planned until next month, but I will move the schedule up if there are concerns.
Full diagnostics below. (Some lines removed for privacy)

No problems there. Perch will run even up to the latest PHP7 :)
Thanks, Simon! I'll take your word for it, then. :)
:) ha ha thanks, the boss says so too...

I'd be happier if that message mentioned MySQL 5.6! I've noticed that some folks in the forum have diagnostics which include MySQL 5.6, so it must work, right? Still, confirmation from the horse's mouth would be nice. :)
Yes indeed. I have quite a few sites running on PHP 5.6 and it's confirmed in this article (right at the end).
Ah. But I was wondering about MySQL not PHP! :D
That shouldn't be a problem.
