Has anyone used the Events App and Forms to create a booking system that would allow a non CMS user to book an appointment.
This is early research for a potential new client website.
I'm going to install the Events App and have a play around with it but I justed to see if anyone has done it.

Website users needs to be able to select a day and time to book an appointment. So would need to show a calendar on the front end, with a form when a date and time is selected.
The website owner would need to be able to also add appointments and have the calendar view open in the shop.
I haven't had a chance to install the events app to check, but I presume it does not allow a non cms user to add an event?
That's correct. Only content editors can add content.
Just had the same request from a client - hope it's not the same one as Juan's!
I can't see Drew wanting to build this as it is potentially complex and not core. Could be a good 3rd party app project for someone as it would open up the holiday letting market, as well as individual practitioners appointment booking.
