Installation Runway 3.0.4 fails on "User Account" form submission

Connects to database as expected and creates the necessary tables. On clicking continue in the User Account area, I get the following error.

This page isn’t working

www.mydomain.com is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

using BlueHost as my hosting provider, if that helps.

I checked the server folder, and it doesn't appear to create any config files. Tried changing permissions for the config folder (though I've never needed to do that in the past for setup). No luck there.

(sorry if the post if formatted weird, not sure why)

What is in your error log?

[Wed May 31 11:26:44.603213 2017] [rewrite:error] [pid 4677:tid 139999729141504] [client XX.XX.XXX.XXX:54291] AH00670: Options FollowSymLinks and SymLinksIfOwnerMatch are both off, so the RewriteRule directive is also forbidden due to its similar ability to circumvent directory restrictions : /home/mydomain/public_html/perch/setup/account/, referer: https://www.mydomain.com/perch/setup/account/

I've enabled FollowSymLinks and SymLinksIfOwnerMatch with no success on Perch install.

OK. My server didn't reboot correctly after changing the above items. Now all is good.
