Events : Set number of bookings per event

I am using the Events app in Perch to list a number of bookable events and for each event I need to be able to set the maximum number of times an individual event can be booked. Ideally this would be achieved by the editor entering a numeric value for each event which would then be used to suppress the “booking button” for that event after a certain number of bookings had been made. So far I have gone round in circles trying to figure out a way of achieving this so any help would be much appreciated!
