License key issue on new server

Hello,

I recently migrated a site to a different server and I've got a licensing issue that is preventing access to the Perch interface (the site itself is fine and displays as it should). See two screen captures below. What am I doing wrong?

My licensing info (license key redacted):

Perch licensing

And the login error:

Perch login

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, but it doesn't look like the data is getting as far as our activation server.

What sort of hosting configuration is it?

Hey Drew, it's just basic shared hosting at Siteground. Not sure what to do here? I double checked the config file and the license key is quoted correctly. And access to the admin backend was fine prior to moving servers. Gotta be something with the new server...but what?

Does the server have curl enabled?

Yes, the server has curl enabled. Not sure where to go from here. I'll try a few other things and report back. Thanks for your response, Drew.

EDIT: Running Perch V 2.8.23 on PHP 7.1.17. Could be the problem?

Yes, that would be a big problem. You need to run at least the last version of Perch 2.

Just to close this off: I updated the site to Perch 3 and all is well. Thanks for the help, Drew.
