Short URLs

I've just ported my site over from Textpattern where I'd been using a plugin called smd_short_urls which essentially allowed users to use postIDs as a URL aswell as the postSlug.

As an example, I could use mrqwest.co.uk/blog/281/moving-to-perch to link to my latest blog post or simply mrqwest.co.uk/281 and they'd both end up at the same place.

I think that'd be a pretty neat addition to Perch?
