Events: Possible to change Label & Order of default fields?

I've noticed that when editing events.html, I can't make any changes to the default fields, for example:

<perch:events
    id="eventTitle"
    label="My custom label"
    order="999"
/>

The title is still displayed as the first field and without my custom label.
