"Could not access MailChimp API."

I get this message when i try to import from mailchimp. Campaigns work, lists do not. Checked my setup several times. Anyone encountered the same problem?

Does your server have allow_url_fopen turned on?

I'm not sure whether this was the problem for Jerome, but in case it helps anyone else, I too was seeing this error message (this particular site was on MediaTemple Grid) and I had to turn it on in my php.ini file. Instructions for doing that on MediaTemple are here: https://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/137/How+can+I+edit+the+php.ini+file%3F#gs
