Shop categoties
Hi, i don't understand the shop categories. I want to create categories 'Baby Girl (0-3 years)' and have sub-categories too.
eg. product a category ID 1 ( 'Baby Girl (0-3 years)' ), then i added a list of sub-categories to the product table separated with comers. e.g.: 'party,top,xmas'' actually table ID's. I added this to the old paypal shop.
hope can I have the same functionality, with the new shop?
also, when setting up a category, there it Title. Set Template, and Category template the last two can have Set or Category???
please explain this

Yes, you can use Categories with Shop.
I'm afraid I don't understand this question.
If you need help then we need a clear explanation of the problem and steps to reproduce, also your Diagnostics Report and the relevant code.
I don't fully understand the shop categories. I've made a top left category 'Baby Girl (0-3 years)' then I add sub-category to it.
but I can't get past the Title 'Select Some Options'

Have you edited the master template for your category?
Ive not edit the template for the category. the only template I've changed is product.html

I can't see anything there that would cause this.
Is there anything unusual about this installation?
I think ill try installing it all again, I get an php errors when clicking Brands

i have removed the blog...
What do you have selected under Set Options?
I've reinstalled perch shop etc. all working
but create a new Category set. I don't understand it
Title: Baby Girl (0-3 years) Set template: Set Category template: category (it I use 'set', it just won't let me add a sub-category, it just says ' no results found "dresses", which I can't get passed )

A category set would be something like 'Products'.
'Baby Girl (0-3 years)' would be a category within that set.
ok i have now created the categories.
I've setup a product, taxes etc... but when I click on 'generate variants' (there are none set up for product)

What product options do you have configured?
perch2_shop_product_options table is empty
and perch2_shop_product_option_values is empty too

Ok. So what are you hoping to achieve by generating variants? You won't have any variants if you have no options.
