Updating from old version of Perch
Got a client running Perch 2.3 which they are loathed to pay me to update.
Is there very good reason to update from this version which is getting on for 2 years out of date from a security perspective or is it largely cosmetic?
I need to try and put a case to them for upgrading.
If the site is working and doesn't need any changes making to it then there's no reason to update.
Is it different to Wordpress then where there needs to be updates to the Wordpress version regularly to stay ahead of the hackers and to fix flaws in the CMS?
Yes - very different to WordPress.
If there was ever a security concern we'd let you know about it.
Ok. Another reason to use Perch!
