Upgrade from Perch 2.2.9

I'm upgrading an old Perch 2.2.9 site, I’ve done a few old ones now but only to Perch 2.x.x. Has anyone upgraded from 2.2.9 direct to Perch 3? It’s a site without add-ons but I’m wondering if I should do an intermediate upgrade first.

The site doesn't have page attributes or categories or a host of other core Perch functions and I'm a bit wary.

Would you upgrade direct to Perch 3?
