Probably only valuable for sites with a large number of posts. There wouldn't be HUGE utility in having it, but it would be a nice to have the option (standard in Wordpress, Textpattern, etc). You can only get comments by post currently.
What's the utility in seeing comments across all posts? If there's a good use case we'll look at adding it.
