Modifying Colorbox gallery settings
I have finally got the type C gallery installed on our site but am having trouble making any modifications to it. Not sure what to edit, the gallery css or the javascript, or add it on the page body.

- Most important we need a semi transparent overlay
- ideally lose the picture title
- tweak the image border and buttons

Those all sound like changes you'd need to make to your templates and front-end code.
Indeed, and I think some of the widow settings are controlled by the main stylesheet, but I cannot find exactly how Perch and Colorbox work together - and I really need to be able to get the transparent overlay going behind the popped up pictures.
You should get this working in HTML and CSS, and then you can figure out how to create a Perch template from that. There isn't anything that Perch does that isn't in your control. You should treat the examples included as simply examples, and create the markup that you need for your own site.
