PayPal Shop App

I have a site which uses the Shop (PayPal) app. Am I right in thinking that I shouldn't update to Perch 3 as this app will not work at all, and that the best thing to do is to update to the most recent version of Perch 2?

Also, is there a way I can access the IPN data posted back from PayPal in order to perform an action?

PayPal Shop was deprecated when Perch Shop was launched, which was before Perch 3. There's no longer a supported version of PayPal Shop.
