Where is the Perch server compatability test?

Hi, I find references to this but when I click on the link, the test isn't there.

Does it still exist? Does anyone know where it's hiding?

Cheers - Mark

Hi Mark

Just install Perch (or Runway) and the test will run. There isn't a standalone test anymore.

Jon

Hi Jon

Thanks very much for this.

I have installed Perch. The problem is that when I come to log in (on my local Wampserver install) , my credentials vanish and I have the issue described here: https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/06-19-2018-login-problems. I'm using Wampserver and have been trying to get it working for a little over a month now. All I am told on this forum is that it's a sessions problem with my local Wampserver server and no-one can give any more help. Incidentally, the same thing happens in xampp on my laptop.

The reason for wanting to run the test was to see whether it threw anything on my local server. If the test is running in the background then I dont know when or where. Also, how do I scan the results?

Any help on running the test or anyone who's prepared to do a little freelance work to get my local Wampserver installation working (if indeed that's what it is) would be very welcome :)

One thing I can confirm is that each time I try to log in there is a new file created in the tmp folder that holds the session files.

Thanks - Mark

Sorry I can't help as I am not a Windows user. Can you compare the php.ini files of a server you do know works to your local version? That's where I would start, as well as checking the php error logs. Perch is telling you it's a probably a sessions issue – I'm not sure what else it could tell you!

Best of luck.

Jon
