Members App - New Members Default Active
Hi,
Following all documentation I can find online, it seems that the status field of members added in the Members Add-On for Perch should default as "Pending" to be approved by an admin. Indeed, the field in the database table even has "Pending" as it's default value.
However, whenever registering a new account, the new account is automatically granted "Active" status. This is a bit of a problem, as it's a simple access password, and what's the point of password protecting my site if anyone can register and get on in seconds?
Any help would be appreciated!
In the registration form options, have you checked the "New members require approval" option?
Indeed I have. The email I have provided is also correct. Although Perch seems unable to send emails to it - possibly some email settings need setting up, and the notification email failure is causing the status to be set to active?
A bit of wild speculation, but I'm not sure what else it could be!
Are you using passwordless registration?
