Perch Blog Date appearing as text field
When my client edits blog posts in admin, instead of select elements for the publish date, they just see something like:
2014-01-17 10:43:00
Any suggestions

Do you have
type="date"
set on the tag in your template?Yes. I have this in post.html:
When did this start?
Not sure - client had only just reported it.
No other instances of
id="postDateTime"
in the template?Nope, no other instances of that.
Ok. Anything else you can tell me? I'm not sure how to help.
Only that it doesn't happen on another site on which I have Perch Blog installed. That site is running Perch 2.3.2, and running Perch Blog 3.8.1. It only has <perch:blog id="postDateTime" format="%d %B %Y" /> in the post.html template, so I wonder if this is worth trying.
Can you show me the entire
post.html
template?I can't see anything wrong there at all.
Hi...
I have this issue, did anyone find out what the problem was?
Stephen - this issue is a year old. Perch has changed a lot in a year.
You need to create your own thread, with your Diagnostic Report and your template explaining your current issue so we can help.
Fixed... I just removed
<div class="date"><perch:blog id="postDateTime" format="%d %B %Y" /></div>
From my post.html file
