How to rewrite using htaccess?

Hi,

I have setup my own page for products (not using the product shop add on) which is a custom page using perch, but I would like to know how to turn my URL string to safe SEO URL.

URL is as follows: /products?cat=kitchen&s=ontario-maple and trying to achieve the following /products/kitchen/ontario-maple.

Any help would be great.
