Events App more problems - dropdown for category admin or editor not showing up...

I have a user who can not see the events add button. It is not showing up in her account even though she has permissions required. Also I can not erase the entry and start over with that user because there is no delete button next to her entry. I have changed her to an Admin that works but still can't get to the choice dropdown to change back to editor. I am an editor and it shows up for me. What needs to be done here to make this work correctly.
