Spam on Blog Comments without Perch Comment area visible

Hi,

For some reason I'm still receiving spam on my blog posts through the Perch Comment area when i'm using a third party tool for my comments section. The Perch Comment area has been hidden via css in post.html.Any ideas?

If you're not using comments, don't add a comment form to your page. That makes no sense!
