Events App, I want to pull the next five events

I'm using the events app to replace a preexisting bit of javascript/jquery on a clients site.

The function I want to achieve is to be able to pull the next 5 events from todays date onwards and display them in a list.

I am using Perch 2 and the events app https://grabaperch.com/add-ons/apps/events

Is this possible?
