Can members register new members?
I want members to be able to register new members. The new accounts will have pending status until approved by an administrator. Is this possible? Is it just a matter of showing the register form for logged in members?
No, that's not possible.
Oh crap, seriously? I reeeeally need that. Oh well, I suppose I will have to get an email sent so that admin can set up the account.
Couldn't anyone, member or not, go to a 'register' page and enter and enter a new persons name and email?
Perch admin would then receive the 'new member pending' notification.
Presumably, if you wanted only members to access the 'register' page you could restrict that page to members only.
I have just tested this with a form that is only visible by logged in members. Logged in member fills out the register form and it is sent to 'Pending' in admin. So it seems to work.
I couldn't guarantee the integrity of the current member session at that point.
Shame - it would save a bit of time. For now I have created a standard form to email the details to the site admin to add it manually.
You can try it, I just can't guarantee it.
