Honeypot Field Not Validating

A form on a clients site is using the honeypot field, however the form is still getting validated and not being marked as spam when the honeypot field is also filled in.

I read that this was bug in a previous version of Perch but I have upgraded to 2.6.6 on a local version but the problem remains.

Any suggestions?
