Content not showing and license issues

Hey guys,

I am new to Perch. I am generally a WordPress Developer.

I have a site on my servers that was designed by another person. I have a couple issues. The site is walterlaw.com.

  1. When I try to log in, it is telling me, "Sorry, your license key isn't valid for this domain." I suspect that is because we put a secure certificate in place last year and the domain was registered with a https://. I do not have access to that account, but I can see the license number in the config file. What do I do here?

  2. What prompted me to log in in the first place is that my client is complaining that their blog is not showing the posts. The URL for the blog is: https://www.walterlaw.com/blog/. I can see that there is content in each category, but the list of articles is not showing.

I recently moved this site to a new server with Centos 7.1 and MYSQL Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.24.

The old server had centos 6.9 and MYSQL 5.6.39-83.1-log Percona Server (GPL), Release 83.1, Revision da5a1c2923f

I tried moving the PHP version of the site from PHP 5.6 to 7.2, but that did not fix the issue.

I suspect that upgrading perch to the most recent version might do the trick, but of course, I can't log in to see that.

Any ideas guys?

Scott

Scott. Likely you need to update Perch.

As far as gaining access to changing license info, see this post from a couple days ago.

https://forum.grabaperch.com/forum/10-22-2018-how-do-i-transfer-a-license-from-the-previous-owner

I purchased a new license.

I was able to install the new version going. There was a lot of tweaking I needed to do. It was definitely not a simple upgrade.

Thanks for the advice.
