Code snippets in blog

Might be missing something simple here but is there any way of displaying actual code snippets in the content of a blog post?

On web dev blogs you'll usually find little bits of code in tutorial posts which are styled differently to the main blog copy, usually with a monospaced font and similar to the way you style code in a Perch forum post.

Is there an easy way to achieve this or do you have to do install a monospaced font and style everything yourself?
