Upgrading from Perch 1.6.5 to Perch 3

What are my options for upgrading from Perch 1.6.5 to Perch 3. I assume I have to go through the versions. I tried Perch 2 and Perch 3 directly but the upgrade script fails complaining about missing tables. Do I need to go through the latest 1.x release first and if so where can I download that?

I need to run on PHP 7 and Perch 1 appears to use mysql_* functions that have been removed.

You'd need to update 1.6.5 to 1.8.9, and then run the Upgrade add in Perch 2 to import that content into the new Perch 2 tables.

Perch 3 is more of an in-place upgrade.

You should be able to download the latest Perch 1 from within your account.
