Special character getting added to the color code.

I am using color picker from perch admin, it appends the special character (BOM code) &#65279 with the color code value and shows up like this: background-color: #f0f0f0

Is there any way I can get rid of this BOM code so that it changes my background color as per my selection from perch admin panel.

Which browser are you using? Perch doesn't implement a colour picker.
