automatic generation of canonical links for new blog pages

I am wondering what code to insert in my post.php template to generate a canonical link for pages in the blog? I am not a php coder but am comfortable working with the templates given a code.

Is it also possible to insert php code to pull the same url in for my <meta property="og:url"content="https://www....../>?
