A question about template location

Hello,

So I'm working on my first project with Perch and just have a question regarding template location to clear up my confusion. Does the Perch/Templates/Blog folder (the one I copied there when I installed the blog app) house BOTH templates intended for output on website and also templates intended for use in the admin panel? Can one template do both? Just trying to understand, I'm determined to learn Perch because it's perfect for what i need CMS for.

Mark.

All apps have a Master Template, for blog that is post.html. This is the template that needs to have any fields in that you want to appear in admin.

This is explained in the docs here, under "Core Concepts": https://docs.grabaperch.com/addons/

Hi Mark,

Yes that's right. For example the perch/templates/blog/post.html file controls both output on the website and in admin panel. It's a great feature of Perch.

OK cool, it's starting to sink in now. Thanks.
